The Alder cone, introduces antifungal qualities into the water, and its humic acid can lower pH levels, promoting reproduction.
In a study done, they demonstarted that in around 2 weeks, 330 cones can reduce the ph of 100 litres of tap water from 8.12 to an acceptable 6.74 range.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Boil all botanicals for 60 minutes to remove germs, dirt, and debris. Allow your botanicals to soak in dechlorinated, ro or aquarium water overnight before placing them in the aquarium.
You can use the soaking water as dark extract since it contains a descent amount of beneficial tanins.
